LiI(Eu)

Lithium-6 Iodide (doped with Europium) is a scintillating compound which presents a very high sensitivity to low energy neutrons (Capture cross section for thermal neutron is 940 barns).

Dimensions: typical applications require thin sheets of scintillator: typ. 1 mm thick, and up to 50mm in diameter, but larger dimensions can be achieved. Request a quote for further details.
